I lost my granddad a few weeks ago Ted, and I’m not sure I know what to do with myself.
I’m trying to pretend that it’s not getting me down, pick myself up and carry on, But truth is i don’t know how right now.
See the thing is ted, my granddad was my best friend. He always made me feel special, like I was the only girl in the world. He’d always be proud, no matter what I did from school work, to gymnastics to even playing the clarinet he never once gave me scowl. See when you’ve had a bad start in life like me, life doesn’t seem to get any easier or better. No matter how hard I try. I’m slowly learning now mind that most of the time it’s the people in your life. So sometimes it’s mature to walk away. But that little special feeling was everything to me. It was a sense of belonging and acceptance.
Life is a funny little thing you know Ted, It’s full of love but also misery. Hopes and regrets.
I’m healing slowly now, still a long way to go. But with Adam and your beautiful family by side. A family I now like to call my own.
I’ll be fine.
